The Unofficial L & F Website Cricket Conference and Coaching Seminar  - This prestigious event will take place on the 3rd November in the scorebox at Fox Lane. A limited number of places are still available.  The schedule for the day is as follows:

The BTR Drive: Its Origins, Application and Future - by Martin Brown and Adam Slater.  

A unique opportunity to hear the pioneers of the BTR drive talk about the most aesthetically pleasing shot in cricket. Learn how to thrash a ball outside off stump on a good length, over mid-wicket for a one bounce four.  

10:30am - 10:31am Enthusiasm, Motivation and Teamwork in Cricket - a presentation by Pieter Koortzen
10:32am - 11:30am

A Fielding Masterclass with Zubs Patel

One of the finest fielders in the Northern League will give practical demonstrations of his innovative fielding techniques followed by a question and answer session.

11:30am - 1:00pm Lunch with optional excursion to laugh at Leyland Motors ground. 
1:00pm - 3:00pm

Attacking Shots Good, No Shots Better: The Art of the Leave - A lecture on defensive batting by Ian Farrington.  Includes a full video playback of his epic 194 ball unbeaten 17 against Darwen in 2001.

3:00pm - 3:20pm The Loneliness of the Long Leg Fielder.  A powerful and moving one man drama written by and starring Julian Edwards. Caution: Contains strong language and strobe lighting.
3:20pm - 4:30pm  Dressing for Cricket: A fashion show by Brian Allen.  The legendary style icon takes a break from the South Ribble Senior Golf Tour to dispense tips on what to wear before, during and after the match.
4:30pm till late Drink Yourself Ready For Cricket - Nick Mackenzie and Martyn Turner are your guides to this sensational new fitness programme.
