Leyland & Farington C.C. Past Professionals
Leyland & Farington C.C.
2005 - Adam Parker - One of Colin Dawber's "top five lads of all time", Adam spent two years perfecting his awesome batting, lightning quick bowling and general posing skills on the MCC groundstaff.
2004 - Moin-ul-Atiq - Moin played 5 One Day Internationals for Pakistan. He made a hundred against Bangladesh in 1988. Given how bad Bangladesh are now and that this was 12 years before they gained Test Match status, it is probable that Rob Bethell would have made a ton against them in 1988.
2003 - Lukman Vahalawala - The Deepdale Express went to pro at Lostock C.C. in the Bolton & District Cricket Association. Now he's back in the Northern League as a shamateur at Preston.
2002 - Pieter Koortzen - I'd like to take this opportunity to say to Pieter, wherever you are (my guess is that he is either waiting tables somewhere, desperately seeking advice from a self-help book or looking amongst some cardboard boxes next to the bins for his career), "Sorry".
2001 - Martin van Jaarsveld - Legend
2001 - Brandon Nash - Recruited from the Central Lancashire League where he was an overseas pro, Brandon played a crucial role in us winning the Nuffield Hospital Cup final against Darwen.
2001 - Pieter Koortzen - See 2002, although Pieter looked reasonable in the game BT took 9-11 against Preston.
2001 - Mark Benfield - Played three games for us and allegedly stole Rimmer's bat after the third.
2001 - Saeed Anwar Jnr - He got 39 against Darwen in the semi final of the years other Northern League cup. The game was also notable for a totally clueless opening partnership between S. Pallett & I. Farrington.
2001 - Mike Smethurst - Released by Lancashire in 2003.
2001 - Carl Crowe - Released by Leicestershire in 2002.
2001 - P. Wanasinghe - Got 50 for us at Darwen which is probably more runs than he has had all season for Haslingden in the Lancashire League this time round.
2001 - Riffat Ullah - Workington's professional nipped down to play at Netherfield for us and did ok, making a fifty.
2001 - Ruwin Peiris - now piling up the runs for Church in the the Lancashire League.
2001 - Goolam Bodi - A case of what might have been. He looked good in his half game for us and when he made 121 against us in 2002 playing for Fleetwood.
Leyland C.C.
1998-2000 - Neil Rimmer - Now playing for his old club Fleetwood Hesketh in the Liverpool & District Premier League. Wonder if he still refuses to bowl at people who are 'too crap' in the nets?
1996-1997 - Paul Tebay - Owner of a cricket shop in Bolton. Anyone wishing to purchase any cricket equipment should get themselves down to Cricket Crazy, which now has no connection to any Chorley C.C. 3rd/2nd team player.

1994 - Malcolm Marshall

Greenidge
1992 - Mark
